I retired as professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Florida Atlantic University in the summer of 2022 and accepted a position as instructor at Oregon State University. I haven't had time for research since then.

Currently, my hobbies are reading and running. I'm also interested in native plants and look forward to learning more about the plant life in Oregon.

Books that I've recently read and enjoyed include Juneteenth, by Ralph Ellison, and A Brief History of the Paradox, by Roy Sorenson. Currently I'm reading (and enjoying) The Master and Margarita, by Mikhail Bulgarkov.

I haven't run a race since the Crystal Creek Half Marathon in Eddyville, Oregon, in 2024. I don't have a lot of time for running these days, and my knees are wearing out.
