Nearly 30% of our students are transfer students.

Welcome to Team Science!

One of the biggest benefits of pursuing your degree on our main campus is the opportunity to get involved in our thriving science community to make the most of your undergraduate education at OSU.

With some careful planning, you can participate in experiential learning opportunities that are valued by employers and graduate schools. Pursue internships, research work in a lab, study abroad opportunities and get involved in one of our 400+ student clubs and organizations.

Tips on transferring into the College of Science and OSU

  • Explore our Transfer Course Search Tool to look up course equivalencies from your current school.
  • Be in good academic standing (2.25 GPA or higher).
  • Communicate regularly with your advisor to see how you are progressing toward your goals.
  • Explore OSU's Degree Partnership Program — dual enrollment at OSU AND a community college can save money while earning your bachelor's degree!

Transfer orientation

All incoming OSU students participate in New Student Onboarding activities designed to ease their transition into OSU life. We’ve built a step-by-step onboarding sequence that will support you both during your initial orientation and throughout your first year here. You'll receive academic advising, register for courses, learn about helpful resources and meet other new students to start building your community.

Transfer students follow a structured onboarding process that includes both general OSU information and sessions tailored specifically for them. These transfer-focused sessions acknowledge students' prior experience and provide targeted support to help them transition smoothly into the OSU community.
