Submit one application and be considered for more than 250 scholarships.

Spend a couple of hours to complete your application and the reward could get you $500 to as much as $7,000 or more toward paying your tuition next year. We designate some scholarships for students with the highest levels of financial need.

When to apply for scholarships?

The deadline for applications is February 15 and the College of Science announces scholarship awards in early May for the following academic year. Awards vary from year to year since they are based on available funds.

College of Science scholarships

Every year, College of Science students benefit from hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarship awards. These awards included support from the university at large, the College of Science and its departments — and we continue to grow our scholarships thanks to generous alumni and friends. As a result, among all colleges at Oregon State University, Science has been able to offer the second-highest total amount of scholarship dollars to students.

Summer research scholarships

Many students spend their summers doing transformative research with funding from our SURE Science Program, which offers students 10 weeks of paid full-time research during the summer to enhance their classroom learning.

LURE paid research

The Launching Undergraduate Research Experiences (LURE Science) scholarship also offers paid undergraduate research opportunities — especially for students who have not yet participated in research and are in their junior or senior year — that run during the school year.
